Volcano?

If I remember correctly, the Appalachian mountains pass through New York. Where there is mountains, eventually volcanoes tend to pop up. I was thinking, through some weird coincidence doing with the moon going out of orbit, then a volcano would mysteriously pop up in the mountains. However, I'm not sure how close the mountains are to Albany, so if they are a distance, then we would say something like, 'A volcano grew out of the ground in Albany' (Lol, jk, but you get my point).

A volcano would completely destroy all the areas. Also, it'd wipe out the shadows. Noooo. D:

Noooo, it's not an active volcano. There is still lava in it but it hasnt erupted for decades. However. Maybe a plot could be that it does erupt or something... Either way, it's dormant.

Rain, I dunno, but like I said, the volcano would appear in the area. What a coincidence lol.

If we could explore it's bowels and find lava shadows, it would be kind of cool. :)
