The house

Noah opened the door, it creaking slightly the more he put force upon it. His green eyes were darting around to a point where it looked like he was paranoid. This was the house his father used to live in. It never was repopulated, for every special area around here was kept the way it was

Noah covered his nose completely, investigating. He came up on drawers, and was surprised to see a bunch of papers. His father's papers. They told about an old man or something, and keys to mind deception and hypnosis. Noah was interested. he started reading through them, before something caught his eye. A black cloak, equipped with a hood.

Ari walked into the house. People lined the streets, ecstatic, and Annabelle was calling him from afar. "One moment!" he called, and peered back in. This house brought a lot of memories. He smiled, flicking through the papers, but stopped on a single hook behind the door. He blinked at it. "I guess my apocalypse days are over." he whispered, dark blue eyes filled with relief, and took off his cloak, hanging it on the hook. With that, he left, shutting the door behind him.

Noah walked towards it, outstretching his hand to gently touch the silky fabric. He then took it completely off the hook, and went back to reading through the papers, it over his shoulder.

Hope had followed Noah out of pure boredom to see where the heck he usually went off to. She had done this quite frequently lately not out of stalkerishness, but just to see if he went anywhere interesting. When he walked into an old house, she stopped at the front and stared up at it. It took her a bit to realize it was his parent's house, but when she recognized it, she stepped inside. "Noah?" She called softly into the empty room she walked into. "Are you in here?"

Noah heard her right as he went over a nice sentence:

"People. Things. Enemies. They don't know your whereabouts until their senses find you."

His eyes darted to a closet at the side of the room. He quietly opened it and walked in, closing it behind him. This'll be hysterical.

Looking through the house quietly as if she were trying to keep from disturbing anyone, she finally walked into the room where the papers were sitting on a desk and looked at them for a few seconds to see what they were. After reading only a few sentences that she could see, she looked around the room one last time and slowly started walking past the closet that Noah was hiding in.

Suddenly, the closet flew open, and Noah put Hope in a necklock, growling like a shadow.

Aravella was taking a walk through Ceres Lane. She had a knife ready, just in case. Aravella wasn't exactly looking for a fight, but if one happened to come her way, she wouldn't reject. She passed by Noah's house just as Hope slipped in. She tilted her head and followed quietly.

Hope screamed as Noah jumped on him and quickly grabbed at his arms to try to pry them off of her. As she did so, her nails dug into his skin hard hoping that it might somewhat help with her escape.

"Augh!" Noah exclaimed, falling back in a mixture of laughter and wincing. "Thank you, daaaaaad....."

Aravella heard the scream and ran though the house towards then. Finally, she stopped at the doorway. "Oh thank God! I thought someone was being murdered!" She gasped.

"Noah! What was that for?!" She shouted angrily before she turned to see Aravella. Her heart was pounding in her chest from being scared to death and her breaths were short and ragged. "Oh, hello," She said in an irritated tone.

"My enjoyment." Noah said with a grin, standing up. "I was reading up on my father's papers. He really was incredible."

"What do you mean? What did he do, other than survive through the first apocalypse?" She asked trying to get over her aggravation.

Noah passed her some papers. "Here. Read them yourself." he said.

She studied him and the papers for a moment before she grabbed them and read through them. As her eyes passed over the words, her expression changed from irritation to confusion to surprise. "Whoa, he hypnotized people? That's weird!" She told him as she handed back the papers.

"That's not all." Noah said. "He was great at mental deception. He had an IQ of 150 by the age of 10, apparently."
He browsed through a few. "He had some old man teaching him."

Hope blinked trying to think of an old man teach Noah's father. "That's just... strange. Never mind." She immediately shoved the thought out of her head. "That's really awesome though! I can't believe he could do all that!"

Having been in the Walmart for a few days left Marie in search of a better activity. She had put on a thick black jacket and now walked down Ceres Lane on the sidewalk, swinging her hammer around dangerously. As she approached a house, she noticed the door was open. Curious, she went towards it, knocking on the door.
"Hello?" she called into the darkness.

Noah heard Marie's voice, and grinned. "Sssssh." he told the others, and called: "In here."

Hope stopped when Noah shushed her. Instead of talking, she turned to the door to see if the girl was going to come in here.

Hearing Noah's voice, Marie entered the house, her footsteps barely making a sound on the floor.
"Where are you guys?" she called softly, blinking as her eyes adjusted to the light.

"Fooooollloooow my voooooooiiice." he sang. He was going to try a .....trick from the book.

Hope watched Noah curiously trying to figure out what the heck he was doing. After only a few seconds of thought, she gave up and shrugged.

Marie shuddered at the sound of Noah's voice, but followed it as he suggested. She came to the room where she figured they must be.
"Noah?" she called, though her voice was quiet.

The light was on. Noah smiled. "Hey. How about you join us?" he said.

"Oh, okay," Marie agreed, walking in. "What are you doing here, anyway?"
