A Wandering Imagination

Noah made a small sound, before falling back, rushing forward and kicking for her torso.

His foot made contact, knocking the air from a surprised Wind. She fell back, but quickly hopped back on her feet, rubbing her stomach.
"Nice one," she commented, then suddenly spun around, round-house kicking for Noah's head.

Direct hit. Noah sank to the ground, coughing up blood, chest heaving. He tried getting to his feet.

Wind approached him, placing a foot on the teen's chest.
"How would they say it these days?" she asked, then her face brightened as realization hit her. "Ah, yes. You just got owned."

Noah hit the ground again. The voices were getting louder. A trickle of blood ran down his temple. He grinned wildly, and started a slow laughter. Over time, it grew maniacal, until he heaved himself up, eyes clouded, but wicked grin visible.

When Noah sat up, Wind's foot was forced off his chest. Her eyes went wide, and she backed up a bit.
"But, how is that possibl--?" She stopped midsentence as something dawned on her. "Of course. The shadow DNA." As though excited for an upcoming event, Wind smiled, looking truly happy. "Fight fire with fire, correct?" she said.

Noah lifted his face, revealing wild eyes to go with his grin. "You die here!" he shouted, rushing forward with great speed. He gave an uppercut.

It made impact, and hard. For the second time, Wind fell over, but this time, she scrambled back before jumping up once more. Her eyes seemed to shine a bright white color. She didn't say a word, but suddenly lunged forward with a curved knife in her hand, aiming for Noah's chest.

Noah caught it before it made impact, fighting against her to bring the knife to her own chest.

They struggled for a moment before Wind finally shoved away.
"New blood," she muttered. "Too strong, too wild. You need to be trained!"

"New blood my ass." Noah growled, kicking her across the face. "I work alone."

Finally, it seemed the battle was over. Wind collapsed to the ground. She spat, seeing blood. Slowly, she turned to look up at Noah. A dangerous fire burned in her eyes as they returned to normal.
"This isn't over," she growled. The general snapped her fingers, and suddenly, she and most of her shadows were gone. The ones left behind scrambled for cover, having been rogue and just joining in for fun.

Marie whirled around, trying to see in all directions at once, figuring that Wind wasn't gone.

Noah looked around too, but collapsed to the ground, holding his forehead and squeezing his eyes shut. When he opened his eyes, they were green. "Uuugh." he groaned.

Marie hurried over to him.
"You okay?" she asked softly.

"Mhm." he murmured. "You?"

"Pfft, me?" Marie said incredulously. "I'm fine. I wasn't being attacked or anything. Meanwhile, you kicked some serious shadow butt."

Noah frowned. "That wasn't me." he murmured. "Let's just go..."
