He sat on the side of the trench, hood over his head and clouding his face. It was from his white jacket. White snow flakes hit the hood, but he didn't care. He went on humming a song, sword held to the ground in one hand. A smile the only thing visible on his face.

Crimson skipped down the street happily. One of the few chances she could manage to get out of the Walmart. "You are my sunshine. My only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are gray."

He heard her, but kept to wear he was, swinging his feet off the edge and humming the same tune.

"You'll never know quite how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away!" When she got to the end of the song she was close enough to see the figure. "H-hello...?" she called softly. "I-if you're a b-bad guy, y-you better watch out!"

He stopped humming, not turning. He grinned, and jumped off the edge of the crater.

"WOAH!!!!!!!!" Crimson exclaimed and rushed to where he had jumped off from.

"What are you looking at?" a voice from behind her asked. He stood there, smiling, and that being the only thing visible under his hood and the fog-like snow.

Crimson jumped, slipping on the edge of the hole and fell, only just catching herself with her hands. Tears sprung to her eyes. "MOMMY!" she couldn't help but scream.

The smile vanished, as he outstretched a hand. A dark aura formed around it, levitating her and bringing her to solid earth.

As soon as Crimson's feet touched the ground she launched herself at him, her arms wrapping around his waist. "Thank you, Sir!"

He blushed, it slightly visible on his pale cheeks. He messed up her hair, smiling.

Crimson looked up at him. "Do you not talk? Mommy once told me about this mute girl she used to know. Are you just like her?"

He shook his head. "No." he said. "I'm not like Amethyst."

Crimson let go of him and took a small step back. Her eyes wide. "Y-you... k-know her name...? But... You don't look that much older then Brudder!"

He ignored that. "Do you know a Hope Galloway?" he asked.

Crimson nodded slowly. "Y-yeah..."

He smiled. "Very well. Take me to your Walmart, please." he said.

Feeling she owed him something for him saving her life. "Um... O-okay.." she started walking in the direction of the Walmart.

He walked with her, seeming comfortable with the path. He looked at the newer buildings closely.

Hope had been sitting outside in the cold snow enjoying the white scenery. This was a first for her and her new sweater and jeans made it comfortable to stay outside for more than two minutes. She smiled up at the sky before the figures of Crimson and 'He' appeared in the corner of her eye. As soon as she saw them, she jumped to her feet and placed her hand on the blade strapped to her back. "Crimson, who is that with you?" She asked carefully.

He ran up. "Hope! Is that you?" he asked. "You've gotten so beautiful!"

Hope immediately stepped back away from the stranger and officially pulled her blade from its sheath and held it in her hand. "Who.. who are you?" She asked nervously.

He pulled down the hood, revealing black blue hair, dull blue eyes, and a scar down from his right eye to his cheek. "I am Loki Whitefield. Your father."

Hope suddenly froze as she studied this man with shock covering her face. Almost immediately her blade landed with a thump in the snow but the rest of her didn't move. When she was finally able to think clearly again, she spoke up. "Y-you can't be my father. There's no way," She responded almost in a whisper. "It's impossible. He died before I was even born. Mom told me so..."

Loki smiled. "I was dead for an hour. Though, the shadow energy in my blood tried escaping through my wound, and ended up mending it by the time I was buried, reviving me. I teleported away, and stayed far from the Walmart, in fear that I could ruin the chances of my friend's chances of beating the now relaxed shadows. By the tome that happened, I....couldn't return. I just only recently heard of your existence, so I came out of hiding.
